Scarlett jumped up and said, “And the potatoes and carrots are from the garden! I help Mom pick them.” Pup Pup started spinning around in circles and barking in delight. He knew good things came from the garden and he could not wait to help.

Zak continued, “For dessert mom bakes homemade pies. Pies like apple and pumpkin. My favorite is her pumpkin pie! I looooooove pumpkin pie! Love it, love it, love it!” Pup Pup was listening quietly now. He never heard of a pumpkin pie before. He remembered he had sniffed around the carved pumpkin on the porch during Halloween. He wasn’t sure if he wanted anything to do with pumpkins.
